On February 8th, the lovely Adrienne Vaughan and I launched her fabulous fourth novel with a party at The Betjeman Arms in St. Pancras.
Adrienne had decided that she didn't want to wait for a traditional publisher to come around to her unique brand of romantic suspense, Maeve Binchy - touched with a tinge of Mary Wesley - , so we mutually decided to cheer up February by doing it ourselves.
Everyone agrees that the book - and its look - which was collaboratively arrived at, - really works for this novel. And it was simply a joy to work with Adrienne. She is not only a fabulous writer, but she's a lovely, lovely woman. And in her spare time she also edits the RNA's magazine Romance Matters with immense style, energy and brio. !!!
We all had a wonderful evening....see slide-show of pictures of the night!
The response to the novel since has been tremendous, loads of support from RNA members and others, and 5* reviews continue to come in. Canny Adrienne has spaced out the book bloggers she had contacted, so there is momentum.
And in celebration of St. Patrick's Day - all of Adrienne's novels have an Irish setting - we are reducing the price of Seahorse this weekend only to £1.99, and the first two novels of The Heartfelt Trilogy are free.
