How to Submit
Due to serious illness in my family the agency is not open for submissions until further notice. Everything sent before 7th September will be read but you may wish to consider trying some other agents in the interim. I regret this necessity.
Please send submissions to
for the attention of Lisa Eveleigh
We request that you do not send a postal submission as we only accept work by email. We also prefer not to receive enquiries by telephone as we assess marketability purely on the quality of the writing.
Please do not submit during the London and Frankfurt Book Fairs.
It is a good idea to submit on a Friday when we regularly go through our submissions.
Send an email with two attachments; the three opening chapters (double line spaced) in a simple font such as Times New Roman plus a synopsis of the story/plot, which should not resemble jacket copy. No PDF's please since these are difficult to read on a Kindle.
Please ensure that you include a title page which includes your contact details and check that you have numbered your pages as we may want to print out your work.
Please send a proposal, CV and synopsis – with a brief summary of the book’s scope and market. If you have sample chapters please include them.
For an idea of our interests please look at the Books We Like page
We do read and consider everything we are sent but this is a boutique agency and if you have not heard back from us within three months then your work is not something we would feel confident of placing with a publisher.
Also please make sure you are really ready to show your writing. We see far too many first drafts. You may want to consider working with an editorial consultancy to make sure your work is in the best possible shape.
