After wildly disparate career choices, which included being a manager of The Body Shop and secretary to the senior partner in a solicitors, Sue completed a BA in English and a Masters in Dickens and Victorian Culture. She then turned to fiction and is currently working on A Committed Wife - a gothic and atmospheric Victorian thriller - a story of loss, lunacy and love.
Sue now lives in Whitstable, Kent with her husband Ted, and their small, black Yorkipoo. She founded WhitWord, a forum for local writers to meet and support each other and is now co-founder and director of The Kent Festival of Writing. She hides whenever possible in her shoffice (shed/office) or in her beach hut to write.
