That Summer at the Seahorse Hotel

Picture

Adrienne Vaughan's engrossing and intriguing fourth novel is set in the Irish seaside town of Rosshaven,  Mia Flanagan spent much of her childhood at Galty House - aka The Seahorse Hotel - whilst her actress mother Fenella was on location.

Now in her thirties, Mia still has a strong emotional attachment to the house and to its eccentric owner Archie, and when she learns he is dying, she travels to visit him with her willing if suspicious mother Fenella, who worries that Archie will reveal the identity of Mia's father - something she has always concealed.

Add a handsome Irish American hotelier to the mix and a small girl who is afraid of the sea but fascinated by the island across the bay, and Mia's world is due to be turned   upside down.
