The Regency Belles Series
Praise for The Regency Belles Series
Rowena
This is a very enjoyable book, perfect for Austen fans - Ashton has really captured the romance of the period, but also the constraints placed on women to make a good marriage or forever be dependent on the charity of richer relatives. I loved the wealth of detail about the setting, right down to the foods which would have been popular at a noble family's dinner - this book has clearly been meticulously researched, and it makes it all the easier to disappear into the book and feel immersed in the story. The characters and dialogue are believable and it's impossible not to be rooting for a happy ending for all the main characters. You'll have to read it for yourself to find out if they get it!
Lovely traditional historical Romance. This story contains a wealth of everyday detail from the Regency period, so you get so much more than just a romance…a wonderful slice of life. Now onto the author's next book .....
A lovely story with, eventually, a happy ending. Very well written. Talented author. Can't wait to read more of her books. Highly recommended.
An excellent traditional Regency with a subtle romance, dramatic events, wonderful secondary characters, and rich detail. Readers who enjoy classic Regency with no intimacy will thoroughly enjoy. A bit longer than more comedic Regencies, it was an easy read. Ashton is obviously talented and has a strong voice.
A thoroughly enjoyable read. The depth of description brings all the characters to life. As a non-historian, it gave an insight to Regency life and ways.
Thoroughly enjoyed this traditional Regency Romance and I will be downloading the next book in the series
churchspotter,
I'm always a bit hesitant about reading books not specifically labelled Christian because so many have content of one sort or another that I object to, but I'm happy to have tried this book (my first by the author, but not my last) because it completely met my expectations (hopes?) Clean and well written…the language is good, and there's no sex at all. Overall, an enjoyable Regency tale that I would happily recommend.

This author has a great imagination and talent…Second in the series and kept you on the edge of your seat till the end. This author has a great imagination and talent. Role on the next book in the series. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Loved this book. It was a page turner! Lots of chemistry! Made you cry with them in the low times and cheer them in there highs. And ride with them in between!!!
nicer character in this book. Having said that, the stories can easily stand alone anyway, as each book of the series focuses on different characters. An enjoyable clean read - I enjoy well-done Regency that stays clean and out of the bedroom, and this definitely fit the bill. Will be looking for more by the author. Recommended.
Harriette
Harriette, bosom-friend of Rowena is ar dutiful daughter. When her family faces financial ruin because of her debauched brother they decide to fix the problem by marrying her off to an elderly, unattractive widower.
Suddenly events conspire to give Harriette a substantial fortune. She cuts all connections to her grasping family and decides to behave exactly as she pleases. She runs wild at first but manages to achieve her greatest desires and becomes her own person .The reader has a lot of entertainment watching her reach maturity.

'If you enjoy Jane Austen, Caroline Ashton has recreated the Regency Era with a plethora of new characters. I found this book thoroughly entertaining, the characters appealing and I confess to especially enjoying the descriptions of the gowns and bonnets. Oh, I dream of actually seeing some of those beautiful gowns described by the author.'
'I'm a big fan of Caroline's books...They are true to the time. Interesting story line, endearing characters perfect Regency behaviour and etiquette. Recommended for those readers who want good quality Regency novels.'
'Really, really enjoyed this book. Our heroine was spirited but still ladylike. The hero was swoon worthy. It was truly nice that the heroine came from a close and loving family. The drama was reserved for the hateful cousin who tried to ruin or heroine's happiness.'
'What a fun book. A delightful heroine. A dashing hero. A great aunt who doubles as a fairy godmother. All focused on my favorite theme: finding fulfilling love.'
