Picture

Will Sarah abandon her principles for love, or be true to herself and hope that fate will be kind?

Left destitute by the death of her husband, she must fight to survive in a foreign land. Her only option is to continue to follow the British army as it confronts Napoleon s forces in the Peninsula. Accepting the protection of a Guards officer comes with a price. Following her new love will cost her more.

Sarah is a spirited and likeable heroine, and the author's evocation of the Peninsular War is masterly.
